Ram 1500 engine and performance choices

The 2025 Ram 1500 gives local truck buyers three different engine options. With the 2025 model year, the Ram 1500 offers a pair of twin turbocharged six-cylinder Hurricane engines that can give you either 420 or 540 horsepower. The renowned HEMI® V8 engine is no longer available in the Ram 1500 and was discontinued after the 2024 model year, but you can still get a HEMI® V8 with a 2024 Ram 2500. The maximum towing capacity with the 2025 Ram 1500 Hurricane engines is 11,580 pounds.

The other capable choice is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine that can deliver 305 horsepower, 271 pound-feet of torque and up to 7,730 pounds of maximum towing capacity.
